Homework Week 6

Walk a mile in my shoes...

Your first homework task is all about empathy and service. Over the week, you are going to learn about and do some of the jobs your parents do to make your household run smoothly.

Here are some suggestions:
  • learn to use the washing machine
  • learn to use the dryer (then fold and sort the dry clothes)
  • learn to use the dishwasher - stack, and unpack when done.
  • help your parents make the weekly grocery list to budget, then go shopping and help collect the items on the list.
  • make your siblings and your own lunch for a week.
  • plan and cook a meal for your family
  • vacuum the house (yes, even under beds and in corners!)
Take some photos of you doing these tasks. Write a sentence or two about what you learned from doing your parents' jobs.

SAMOAN LANGUAGE WEEK!
Your task is to learn some simple phrases. Make Mr J's day by saying these to him.
Here's a link to get you started: Samoan Phrases

This month is the world-famous-in-New-Zealand Music Month.
Most radio stations have been playing NZ content all month, so hopefully you have been listening!
Pretend you are a DJ and you are putting together a playlist of NZ music for your radio station.

You want to make sure that you have all the music genres (styles) of music covered - from the past to the present.

What would you top 20 songs look like?

You can either type up the list, or even better, paste the links into a doc so we can hear them.

Say what you like about each song/why you've chosen it.
